SIX KEYS TO BUILD A STRONG RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD Every Christian is related to God but not strongly. This book is written for the purpose of helping each other on how to build a strong relationship with God in Christ Jesus our saviour.

PRAYER

Prayer is speaking and listening to God. 1Thessalonians 5:17 17 pray without ceasing, why should you not stop/cease in prayer? never stop praying because it's through prayer that you speak and listen to God. so, when you stop praying it means you ' ve stopped speaking to God. In physical sense, when you stop speaking to your father (or any relative) that means that there is a problem in your relationship. In relationship there is communication (speaking). if you don 't speak to each other it means you ' re enemies. Why is prayer important in relationship there with God? Philippians 4:6 6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; Take note of the above underlined words; "but in everything by prayer". this means that prayer is used to make your requests known to God. 

WORD OF GOD 

The word of God is the spirit and direction (will) of God. The more word the more you know God. Joshua 1:8 8 This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. The word of law means the book of God or the word of God. God was telling Joshua never to stay away from His and now you're the Joshua of today God is telling you never to stay away from His word (Bible) Why is the word of God important? The word of God is important in relationship with God because; the word is God's direction and its His (God) will. the word shall never be different from God's will and direction. whatever is written is from God unless otherwise indicated. If you know and obey the word of God, you ' re being obedient to God Himself. Deuteronomy 28:1 Blessings on Obedience 1 "Now it shall come to pass, if you diligently obey the voice of the Lord your God, to observe carefully all His commandments which I command you today, that the Lord your God will set you high above all nations of the earth. in other ways God is saying when you obey him you shall be blessed. In a relationship there is supposed to be good wishes for each other/ blessing each other but if you ' re cursing each other then you ' re not.

 

HOLINESS 

Holiness is the ability to live sinlessly. Amos 3:3 3 Can two walks together, unless they are agreed? You can only be in relationship with someone if you agree, without agreement no relationship. same with God you can only be related to God if you agree with Him, what has God said over Hominess? 1Peter 1:15-16 15 but as He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, 16 because it is written, "Be holy, for I am holy." He has said you should be Holy because He also is Holy, with sin you will not be related to God. Why Should you be Holy? - In order to see God (It's only the holy ones shall see God) - In order to come near God (it's only the holy ones shall stand in the presence of God.) Be Holy and walk with God.

 

FAITH 

Faith is being sure of what we hope for. it is being sure of what we don 't see (Hebrews 11:1 NLrV) Hebrews 11:6 6 But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for He who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. Why should you be faithful? When yiu have head the Bible talking about God, not knowing you may think that maybe it's just belief. But because of faith, we believe that whatever is written happened and shall happen. Faith makes the power of God and His existence real. According to Hebrews 11:6 6 But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for He who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. For he who comes to God must believe that He exist, this means that without faith God does not exist. Doubting will take you nowhere but hell. Be faithful in order to be in a strong/ solid relationship with God.

 

JOY AND THANKSGIVING

 Joy is being happy; Thanksgiving is praising someone for something done. 1Thessalonians 5:16 16 Rejoice always, 1Thessalonian 5:18 18 in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. Why should you to be Joyful and Thanksgiving? Joy and Thanksgiving shows appreciation to God, others are dead but you ' re alive it' s not yourself but God, Be joyful and hive Thanks. Joy and Thanksgiving shows acceptance of something, when you thank God, it shows that you ' ve accepted that its only God and not anyone else. If you don 't thank God, it means you don 't receive from God. Be joyful and give Thanks in order to build a strong/solid relationship with God.
